The wistfulness is tinged with hope because the company in question, the delightfully named Boston Surface Railroad Co., prominently displays a proposed route map extending clear to Concord. Rail fans in Concord are once again looking wistfully south, where Nashua is making more noises about having a private firm bring passenger trains up from Massachusetts.
